Charleston Pride to Host Inaugural “Toast to Equality” Cocktail Competition Winning cocktail will be named the Official Cocktail of Charleston Pride 2018

CHARLESTON – On August 4th, Charleston Pride will raise a glass to equality with its first-annual Toast to Equality at the Charleston Visitor Center & Bus Shed. The cocktail contest will feature 12 local, LGBTQ-friendly bars, who will be serving up complimentary samples using six Breakthru Beverage sponsored liquors and competing for your vote. The winning cocktail will be named the Official Cocktail of Charleston Pride 2018.

Contenders include Dig in the Park, Dudley’s on Ann, El Jefe, The Pub 61, Semilla, The Shelter Kitchen + Bar, Tabbuli, Toast, Voodoo, and Warehouse. Additional contenders will be announced via social in the coming days.

The event will also feature music by DJ Trevor D. and live bands, and food trucks including Charleston Caribbean Creole, Dig Street Kitchen, King of Pops and Semilla. Mike Edwards from Mix 95.9’s Two Girls & a Guy will serve as the emcee. 

Toast to Equality is presented by Blackbaud and Dudley’s on Ann, with support from David Aylor Law Offices, D&M Productions, Invitation Only, and Drinks With Jay.
