Holy Grits! The Annual World Grits Festival Returns
April 10-12 | 110 South Parler Avenue, St. George, SC
In St. George, SC, there’s no greater love for anything other than the love of grits. Whether you’re a casual consumer or a grit enthusiast, the upcoming annual World Grits Festival is a three-day special event worth visiting. Since the 1980s, the town of St. George has been the largest consumer of grits on the entire planet; and to celebrate that achievement the World Grits Festival was born. The festival not only celebrates St. George’s love of grits but also builds community.
The World Grits Festival takes place Friday, April 10th to Sunday, April 12th and invites everyone from all over the state and beyond to come see why residents get in the nitty-gritty details when it comes to grits. The festival hosts a variety of activities like arts and crafts, grit grinding, an art show, a grit eating contest, and the staple world-famous rolling-in-the-grits contest. The event also features live music entertainment and a parade.
Admission is free for all, so come and see why St. George is so grateful for grits!
