The McConnell Foundation Presents
The 5th Annual Shining Stars Gala Palm Royale
Saturday, Sept. 19 | 6-11PM | Wild Dunes Resort
The McConnell Foundation, a non-profit spearheaded by the family of Bodhi McConnell, a pediatric cancer patient at the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, is hosting their 5th annual Shining Stars Gala on September 19th. The Shining Stars Gala is a black-tie event that helps raise funds for continued pediatric cancer research to help cure other children like Bodhi, providing the resources needed to help other families going through the same fears.
This year’s Gala is Palm Beach inspired with the tagline “Paradise with a Purpose” – that purpose being celebrating and honoring children who are battling or have finished their battle with cancer. The event will feature cocktails, a gourmet dinner, a live auction where proceeds directly benefit pediatric cancer research, and guests will be able to listen to the stories of families impacted by childhood cancer. The event takes place at the Sweetgrass Inn at Wild Dunes Resort, where guests will step into a refined atmosphere of warm breezes, polished glamour, and meaningful philanthropy.
