Saturday, Feb. 7 | Palmetto Islands County Park

Calling all dog lovers and owners! The third annual Puppy Love 5K is hitting Mount Pleasant one week from Valentine’s Day and you can show the love by participating in this year’s event! Enjoy a run or walk through scenic Palmetto Islands County Park with your fur baby by your side, open to runners ages 12 and up, and to children 10 and under accompanied by an adult.

The race isn’t the only thing happening as part of the event! After the main race, watch or participate in the 100-yard owner/dog dash! Enjoy the park’s tennis ball field, stick crossing and the squirrel overlook! There will also be prizes, sponsored by Dolittle’s Pet Shop, for the top 3 male and female race finishers as well as canine categories of:

  • Most Adorable
  • Most Enthusiastic
  • Best Butt Wiggle
  • And more!

Owners are asked to be responsible for keeping their pets leashed and picked up after.

All proceeds from this event go to support the work of the Charleston Animal Society and Lucy Beckham Meowdog Rescue!
