Two Charleston area breweries this month won multiple medals at the 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship, an event celebrating brewing excellence. This year’s competition saw over 8,000 beers submitted from breweries across the nation.
Local winners:
- Silver Medal in the Brown Porter category for their Pluff Mud Porter
- Bronze Medal in the Belgian-Style Fruit Beer category for their Painkiller Witbier
- Gold Medal in the Root Beer (non-alcoholic) category for their Marsh Water Root Beer
- Bronze Medal in the Barrel-Aged Breakfast Stout category for their Brunch with Santa Stout
