Make a Wish

Happy Holidays! As you may know, I am an honoree for Make-A-Wish South Carolina’s Women Inspiring Strength and Hope program.

A wish plays a vital role in a child’s treatment, serves as encouragement to the family during the child’s difficult medical journey and provides a source of inspiration for thousands of people across the state. A wish turns fear into courage, worry into hope and it recharges the fighting spirit in children. Just as medicine can heal the body, a wish experience can heal the spirit

Right now, more than 400 children with critical illnesses in South Carolina are waiting for a wish. These children have endured countless appointments, hospital stays and medical treatments. Wish kids often face isolation and vulnerability from their traumatic diagnosis. Now, especially during this time of year, they are in need of hope- hope that a wish can restore.
