Mt. Pleasant restaurant Sommba Bistro & Bar today announced that they will be permanently closing their doors on Saturday, September 7th.

“We look forward to sharing some exciting announcements in the coming months about the spaces Sommba currently occupies, so please stay tuned!”

Downtown brewery Fatty’s Beer Works today announced that they will soon be closing the doors to their taproom. Although they haven’t announced an official closing date, they believe it will likely happen by the end of September. 

They made the announcement on social media, saying:

“Cheers to all the Fatty’s Family that has made the past 8 years at 1436 Meeting Street such a blast!
