Contest Rules:

These are the rules governing the “2024 Must Haves Party” contest aired on Mix 95.9FM radio and on the mix959.com website, unless otherwise specified. In the following rules, “Mix 95.9FM” means Charleston Radio Group, which owns Mix 95.9FM radio:

1. No purchase is necessary to enter any Mix 95.9FM contest.
2. The “Must Haves” contest is open to those 21 years or older.
3. Beginning at 12:01AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, through December 7, 2022 at 05:59 AM, unless extended as provided below, individuals will have the opportunity to register for a chance to win a “Golden Ticket” to the “Mix 95.9 Must Haves” Party on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Bohemian Bull, 2668 N Highway 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466.
4. A listener is eligible to enter to win by downloading the Mix 95.9 app to their smart device. This is the only way to enter this contest.  After downloading the app and the app installs, the listener has the option to click the ‘Must Haves” graphic at the top of the screen, taking them to a unique page at mix959.com where they may enter their name and contact information to be eligible to win.
5. By playing the contest, an individual also agrees to join the MIX INSIDER E-MAIL CLUB. Anyone already a member of the club will only need to enter an e-mail address to have their name entered.
6. There is a limit of one entry per person during the contesting period.
7. There are no fees involved to download the Mix 95.9 app.
8. The Mix 95.9 app can be found in the Apple Store, Google Play Store, or to the Mix App link found at mix959.com.
9. Standard messaging and data charges may apply.
10. An individual may only register once during the contesting period.
11. An individual may only win one (1) Golden Tickets during the contesting period.
12. Only listeners who win a “Golden Ticket” are eligible to attend the “Must Haves” Party and win.
13. Golden Ticket winners will be selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries. Winning names will be announced on-air beginning Thursday, November 21, 2024, and continuing each Thursday (December 5, 2024, December 12, 2024, and December 19, 2024,) throughout the contest period above at approximately 7:20AM. This excludes Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2024.
14. The person whose name is announced on the air will have 15 minutes to call 843-375-0959 to claim their “Golden Ticket” to the “Must Haves” event. If the announced qualifier does not call back within the allotted time frame, a new qualifier’s name will be announced on-air at approximately 8:20AM. Names will continue to be announced at :20 after each hour until the announced individual calls back within the allotted time.  WMXZ reserves the right to add additional or delete contest times between 6:00am and 10:00am weekdays until we reach a total of 4 “Golden Ticket” winners.
15. Listeners will have a chance to win a 5th “Golden Ticket”, during the 2024 Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend. Beginning at 3PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, and continuing through 11:59PM on Sunday, December 1, 2024, individuals can text the word “golden” to 843-375-0959 as many time as they want to increase their chances of winning. Only one (1) text can be accepted every 60 seconds.  One (1) Golden ticket winner will be selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries and be announced between 6am and 10am on Monday, December 2, 2024. Three (3) attempts will be made by phone and/or text to contact the winner between 6AM and 10AM.  If no connection can be made, another winner will be chosen from the remaining eligible text entries until a winner can be contacted and verified.
16. Each “Golden Ticket” winner receives admission for two (2) to the Saturday, January 4, 2025 “Must Haves” event. Only the winner, and a guest of their choice, may attend the event.   The invitation is not transferable.
17. Winners who attend the “Must Haves” event will receive a specialty holiday gift bag stuffed with some of WMXZ’s favorite products and services of 2024. Each gift bag features products and services that will total a minimum approximate retail value of $1,000 or more. Prize details will be revealed daily on the Two Girls and a Guy morning radio show on Mix 95.9 weekday mornings and posted later at mix959.com.
18. Winners must attend the “Must Haves” event to receive the gift bag. Each “Golden Ticket” winner will be allowed one guest to attend the “Must Haves” event. Only the winner will receive a gift bag.  Guests of the winners will not receive a gift bag.
19. The “gift bag” prizes include:

20. Station reserves the right to add or subtract prizes from the list based on availability and agreements with those businesses providing the prizes. A final

completed list of prizes will be made available to winners on Sunday, January 4, 2025, at the “Must Haves” event.    The value of the “gift bag” is subject to change.   Approximate total retail value of the “gift bag” is $1,000

21. A total of five (5) golden tickets will be given away on the radio via the method described above. WMXZ reserves the right to give away a 6th Golden Ticket as a last chance opportunity on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the event location. If a sixth ticket is to be awarded, it will be executed through a register to win contest on-site at party venue.
22. For two hours/120 minutes prior to the start of the party, from 1PM – 3PM, individuals 21 and older at the Bohemian Bull, 2668 N Highway 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466, will have the opportunity to submit one (1) entry to win the 6^th golden ticket.
23. One (1) winner of the sixth golden ticket will be selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries at approximately 3PM.
24. The winner must be present to win. If the selected winner is not present, another winner will be selected in a random drawing of all remaining eligible entries.
25. Winners must adhere to local Covid-19 restrictions and protocols. If mandated or in the event of a cancellation of the event, WMXZ will contact each winner within 72 hours and make arrangements for the “gift bag” of prizes to be shipped or delivered to the winner’s home.
26. Due to shipping delays, some prizes may be required to be picked up at the Mix 959 studios for up to six weeks after the January 4, 2025, Must Haves Party. Such instances will be rare and Golden Ticket Winners will be advised of delays in the awarding of particular prizes.
27. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prizes are subject to change. Packages cannot be transferred if the winner is unable to attend the “Must Haves” party. Winners will be responsible for all local, state and federal taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included.
28. WMXZ contests are open to all eligible South Carolina residents who have not won anything on WMXZ in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. May only qualify once. One qualifier per household.
29. Employees of WMXZ, Charleston Radio Group, Saga Quad States Communications, LLC., and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WMXZ main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
30. One entry per person. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

32. Anytime you call the Mix 95.9FM studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
33. As a winner of a Mix 95.9FM contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you.
34. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. Mix 95.9FM reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
35. WMXZ’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WMXZ will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prize.
36. All winners of all contests are responsible for all taxes on prize awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the Mix 95.9FM studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.
37. In the event the winner is subject to or the subject of any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), Mix 95.9FM’s delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as (Mix 95.9FM) awarding the prize to the winner. Mix 95.9FM shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. Mix 95.9FM shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
38. All Mix 95.9FM contests are open to all eligible residents 18 or over (unless otherwise specified) living within 75 miles of station transmitter(s). Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to Mix 95.9FM that will be presented to Mix 95.9FM and accepted before the prize is awarded. Employees of Mix 95.9FM, it’s advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred mile radius of the Mix 95.9FM main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. 39. Winners will be awarded their prizes as part of the “Must Haves” event at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, 20 Patriots Point Rd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464, on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
40. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Contest is void where prohibited.
41. Mix 95.9FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if any contest rules are violated in any way.
42. Mix 95.9FM assumes no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. Mix 95.9FM, its advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each are absolved and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.
43. As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, Mix 95.9FM reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of Mix 95.9FM management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant.
44. Mix 95.9FM reserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. Mix 95.9FM’s decision is always final. In the event any one of the general contest rules which govern all Mix 95.9FM contests contradict with any specific contest term, the specific contest term will control.
45. For any contest requiring phone entry you must use only the following number unless otherwise specified: (843) 375-0959. For texting it is 77000. The person operating the telephone at Mix 95.9FM has the final decision as to who is the winning caller.
46. Mix 95.9FM shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, or internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond Mix 95.9FM’s control.
47. For any contest involving on-line voting: If an entrant receives irregular votes, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, or other automated means, Mix 95.9FM reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion and/or use another means to determine the winner(s), ex. – random selection or appointing a panel of judges.
48. Mix 95.9FM is not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or act of man or God, lost, late, misdirected, postage-due, unintelligible, returned, undelivered entries or email, or lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, miscommunications, failed computer, network, telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or network. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this contest or website, or act in violation of the official service, as solely determined by the station, will be disqualified. Neither sponsor nor promotion parties are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this contest, and assumes no responsibility for any errors, omissions, deletion, interruption or delay in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized website access. Mix 95.9FM is not responsible for injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from participating in this contest. Should any portion of contest be, in Mix 95.9FM’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the station, corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest, or contest plays, Mix 95.9FM reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest.
49. Mix 95.9FM has not made nor is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prize (if any) are provided only by the manufacturer, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
50. The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on mix959.com:
    1. All appropriate information in required fields must be entered correctly and completely or you will be disqualified.
    2. To win a prize you must reside within the listening area of Mix 95.9FM as defined at the exclusive discretion of Mix 95.9FM management.
    3. Any problems with the internet or email are not Mix 95.9FM’s responsibility.
    4. Contestants who register to participate on our website may be required to produce a printed copy of proof of registration before being allowed to participate in the contest.
    5. Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on Mix 95.9FM. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when Mix 95.9FM contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.
