Contest Rules
Beginning Thursday, November 21, 2019 through 12:00 noon Friday, December 6, 2019, Mix 95.9 listeners will be invited to listen for the “Lion King Roar” sound effect work days between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and be the 9th local caller at 843-375-0959 to win a car pass for HOLIDAY FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS and a Lion King Merchandise pack. A minimum of 10 qualifying winners will be awarded in this method. One grand prize winner will be chosen at random from the daily qualifiers to receive four tickets to see the Lion King at North Charleston PAC and dinner for four. Only one qualifier/winner per household during the duration of this contest.
Approximate retail value of the car pass $15.00, merchandize prize pack $30.00, Lion King performance tickets $75.00 each, dinner for four $125.00. Prizes provided promotionally by Disney’s The Lion King and Charleston Radio Group. Winners will be notified will be notified no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019. Three attempts will be made to connect with winners; if no connection is made alternate winners will be chosen.
The contest is open to those who hold a valid article of state-issued identification or a valid Military ID and are 18 years of age or older. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Packages cannot be transferred if the winner is unable to attend. Winners will be responsible for state and federal taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included. No purchase is necessary. Participants can only qualify once for this contest.
WMXZ contests are open to all eligible South Carolina residents 18 or older have not won anything on WMXZ in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of WMXZ, Charleston Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WMXZ main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
