Contest Rules

Beginning Monday, August 5, 2019 through Friday, August 9, 2019, Mix 95.9 FM listeners will have the chance to win concert tickets to see Hootie & The Blowfish in concert on September 11, 2019 in Columbia, SC.   Participants will need to listen to 95.9 weekday mornings at or around 7:10 am for the designated “Secret Ticket Song” and a guaranteed time-frame in which it will be played between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.  The 9th local caller at 843-375-0959 after the song plays in its entirety during that “guaranteed time-frame” previously revealed wins two tickets to the concert.   A total of 5 pairs of free tickets will be awarded.

Grand prize is two Hootie & The Blowfish concert tickets with an approximate retail value of $50 each.

The contest is open to those who hold a valid article of state-issued identification or a valid Military ID and are 18 years of age or older. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Packages cannot be transferred if the winner is unable to attend. Winners will be responsible for state and federal taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included.   No purchase is necessary.

WMXZ contests are open to all eligible South Carolina residents 18 or older have not won anything on WMXZ in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WMXZ, Charleston Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WMXZ main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
